1. Installation at Power Plant:
We were given the opportunity to carry out the installation of various capacity EOT cranes and hoists at a thermal power plant in mid-2024. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the 100-day installation process, despite facing numerous challenges. Mobilizing equipment from the storage area, retrofitting cranes and hoists at the floor level, and transporting each unit from the service area to its designated location while adhering to plant norms and conditions provided a unique and valuable experience.
The total number of units was 17, and each one presented its own set of challenges and learning opportunities during installation. A particularly remarkable aspect of the work was the installation of four hoists at the silo, at a height of 40 meters, which was both a technical and logistical achievement.
Other areas, such as the utility systems, slurry pump installation, and ash handling, were also particularly challenging for our team. Of course, we faced liquidated damages (LD) for a 10-day delay beyond the committed delivery time. However, the successful final output and the appreciation we received from the customer made the liquidated damages seem insignificant.
We must extend our gratitude to the local contractor. Without their invaluable support, we would not have been able to complete the job on time.
